Arrange a visit
The EDQM welcomes visitors (organised by professional groups) to its building. However, in view of the very large number of visit requests, it is very important to arrange your visit to the EDQM ahead of time (at least 2 months in advance).
Information on Visits
Visits are primarily for educational or scientific groups (for example, students studying scientific disciplines such as pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, etc. or professionals working in the field of quality control of medicines) who are interested in learning more about the work and activities of the EDQM. A visit consists of a short talk on the history, current missions, and the activities of the EDQM, a tour of the meeting rooms and of the technical or laboratory area. The guided visit lasts about one hour and is open to groups of a maximum of 15-20 persons and visitors must be at least 15 years old. We are unable to organise individual visits. The visit is available in English and / or French only. The EDQM is open to visitors from Monday to Friday (except on French national holidays) between 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 14:00-16:00 p.m. Visits cannot be organised during the European Pharmacopoeia Commission sessions.
Visits must be booked in advance and are free of charge. To arrange a visit, please send the Visit Request Form to the EDQM's Public Relations Division by post, fax or e-mail (via the EDQM HelpDesk). Please give the EDQM at least 2 months's notice. If your plans change, please give the EDQM 48-hour notification to cancel your visit. If you wish to schedule a visit for a date sooner than 2 months from today, please contact the EDQM’s Public Relations Division via the EDQM HelpDesk. Once your visit has been confirmed, you will be contacted directly by the EDQM.
When you arrive
When you arrive for your visit, please come to the visitor’s entrance on ‘7 allée Kastner’ and report to the Security Desk. Please do not forget to bring with you some form of picture identification (e.g. a passport, driving licence, etc.) and to present it to security staff. This is to confirm that you are on the list of authorised visitors.
